LaFayette High School FFA competed and placed in the final rounds at the opening ceremony leadership competition on thursday the 6. Placing in the top five in northwest Georgia requires hours of practice and stellar performance by each team member. Chapter Officers make up the team coached by their Agriculture Education advisor. The open ceremony competition is designed to regonize outstanding FFA Officers for their ability to perform their assigned duties in official meetings. All officer parts are memorized and conducted with pride and dignity reflecting sincerity and leadership. The event gives FFA members the opportunity to develope their ability to communicate in a powerful, organized, and professional manner while demonstrating their leadership abilities. The event, held during the 2012 North Region Rally at the state FFA center, is one of many educational activities in which FFA members practice the lessons taught in agricultural education classes.
