“Amber” Nikay Gilbreath and Robert Edwin Thurman wed Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Concord Methodist in Villanow. The wedding was officiated by W.C. Pence and music was provided by Michele Pettigraw. The person to give the bride in marriage was her father, Joe Gilbreath. The maid of honor was Kelli Shankles of LaFayette; the best man was Mark McNabb of Sale Creek, Tenn., and the ringbearer was Evan Tucker of Rocky Face, the cousin of the bride.

Parents of the bride are Joe Gilbreath and the late Nikia Tucker Gilbreath of Villanow; grandparents are Linda Tucker of Rocky Face and the late Gary C. Tucker.

Parents of the groom are Edwin and Kaye Thurman of Rock Spring; grandparents are Billy and Bertha Gilbreath of Villanow.

The wedding trip took place in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and they will reside in Villanow.
