According to the LaFayette Police Department:
About 9:05 a.m. a student scribbled a threat — “Bomb 11:10” — on a bathroom wall in pencil.
The school was placed on a “preventative lockdown” in which students are kept in classrooms.
Police responded and determined it was a non-credible threat.
Public safety director Benji Clift declared the campus clear shortly after 10 a.m.
Teachers continued with instruction throughout and the period change was only delayed briefly, according to principal Mike Culberson.
Officials have interviewed a 16-year-old suspect based on “very good video evidence.” Disrupting the operation of a school and other charges are possible. The student will also face a school tribunal regarding the matter.
