Sam Dills, almost two years old, places a flag at the grave of his grandfather, the late Catoosa County probate judge Sam T. Dills, at Nathan Anderson Cemetery in Ringgold over Memorial Day weekend. He is the son of Reed and Jayme Dills of Ringgold and has a four-year-old sister, Addi. His grandparents are Charlotte Dills, wife of the late judge Dills, of Ringgold and Steve and Cindy Carter of Fort Oglethorpe. Sam T. Dills, who died April 2, 2010, served as Catoosa probate judge for 24 years. He also served in the U.S. Army, based in Hawaii. He and Charlotte owned Ringgold Dry Cleaners for more than 12 years. He was a member of Quitman Lodge 106, Boynton Lions Club and Ringgold United Methodist Church.
