The Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) recently recognized 11 employees from The Bank of LaFayette for their years of service to the community banking industry.

Carolyn Brown, CBA of Georgia president and CEO, presented plaques to the employees on Sept. 27 at The Bank of LaFayette, including:

· Randall A. Walker, vice president, 45 years

· Anita G. Gilreath, vice president – loan operations, 44 years

· Celia G. Coffey, secretary and receptionist assistant, 44 years

· Hugh E. Overfield, vice president, 41 years

· Bob Davison Gilbert, Jr., board of directors chairman, 39 years, 36 at The Bank of LaFayette

· Linda Gilbreath, assistant cashier and BSA officer, 35 years

· Sheila C. Riddle, administrative assistant, 35 years

· Patsy Wilson, loan clerk, 33 years

· Karen Stansell, teller, 32 years

· Donna Rhudy, bookkeeper and research, 32 years

· Wade S. Gilbert, Sr., vice president, 31 years

“CBA is delighted to present the Lifetime Service Award program and recognize these loyal employees for their commitment to community banking. Our state is very fortunate to have community bankers in the industry who have provided this much-needed service to their local communities,” Brown said. “It is our pleasure to recognize these employees for their accomplishments and the inspiration they have been and continue to be to a new generation of community bankers.”
