Jeff and Melinda Cartledge announce the engagement of their daughter Kristen Michelle Cartledge to Jacob David Hampton on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Tucker Plantation.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ann Flanigan and the late Mitchell Flanigan and William and Holly Cartledge, all of Lincolnton, Ga.

She is a 2004 honor graduate of Hart County High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She is employed by CVS in Dalton, Ga.

The groom-elect is the son of Grant and Rhonda Beasley of Ringgold. He is the grandson of Dorthy Caldwell and the late Delbert Caldwell of Fort Oglethorpe; Dorothy Hampton and the late Richard Hampton of Noble, Ga.; and Irene Beasley and the late Junior Beasley of Louisville, Ga.

He is a 2004 honor graduate of Gordon Lee High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. He is employed by Wal-Mart in Trion.
