An early-morning house fire in Catoosa County on Monday left a the structure “a total loss,” fire officials said.

The fire began around 4:45 a.m. near the back of the Apache Trail home, spreading to back porch, attic and roof.

Fire officials said some items were salvageable from the blaze and that a “possible cause” is being investigated.
