According to a news release issued Wednesday morning by Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk, a search warrant was obtained and executed at 331 S. Center St. in Rossville where five offenders were arrested, and two children living at the residence were taken into the state's custody by the Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFACS).
Michael Robert Burrows, 22, Veronica Garcia, 27, Mary Angelia Groce, 26, Tommy Christopher Brannon, 25, all of Rossville, and Colby Jared Youngblood, 19, of Ringgold, were arrested Tuesday, Jan. 22, and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of amphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of marijuana less than one-ounce.
All were booked in the Catoosa County jail between 5:15 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 22.
A bond for each individual has been set on the three drug possession charges at $11,500, but none are eligible for release at this time due to bonds not being set on the charges of possession of a firearm and trafficking of methamphetamine.
Groce is also facing additional charges that include weaving, driving on a suspended license, duty of driver to stop at or return to the scene of an accident, as well as two bench warrants (failure to appear and obstruction), and a hold for the Walker County Sheriff's Office for DUI.
After officers executed the warrant, they discovered six ounces of methamphetamine or "ICE," along with $2,500 in cash and a firearm.
According to the news release, the "ICE" seized at the scene has a street value of approximately $8,000.
It is unclear, at this time, who the two children at the scene belonged to. However, Burrows, Groce, and Garcia are all listed as living at the residence where the bust took place.
