Fort Oglethorpe police detectives are investigating a theft that occurred Monday, Feb. 11, in which a four-wheeler was stolen from the lot of R.T. Cycles Suzuki at 1931 LaFayette Road.

According to the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. while the owner’s son was moving display vehicles into the store for the evening.

After believing that all the vehicles had been secured before the close of business on Feb. 11, the owner told police that he discovered a 2012 Suzuki Quad-king 400CC 4-wheeler missing from his inventory, reports show.

The owner’s son also offered information about the previous night’s events and stated that he wasn’t away from the vehicles at the front of the store for longer than a couple of minutes.

The vehicle information and model number were entered into the Georgia Crime Information Center database (GCIC).

Anyone with information regarding the theft is encouraged to contact the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department at 706-866-2512.
