The Gordon Lee Middle School basketball teams completed their Saturday doubleheader sweep, staving off stern challenges from Chattanooga Valley in Flintstone.

The opener saw the Lady Trojans up by just a single point, 16-15, at halftime, but an 18-point third quarter would give them enough of a cushion for a 44-32 win.

Sarah Meadows had 23 points to pace Gordon Lee (14-2 overall, 12-2 in NGAC), while Lexie Clark added seven points.

Marquila Davis led the Lady Eagles with 12 points. Haley Sandridge finished with 10.

The Trojans also had to hold off a fourth-quarter charge from the Eagles to pick up a 38-32 victory.

Gordon Lee (15-1, 13-1) led by 10 points at intermission and at the end of the third quarter, before fending off the Eagles late.

Gavin Robertson had 12 points in the win. Chaney Rogers added 11, and Jay Bell had eight.

Markeion Jones led all scorers with 13 points for CVMS.
