Seniors at Ridgeland and LaFayette High School had the opportunity to complete and submit online applications to the Georgia colleges of their choice when both sites were chosen among 45 high schools in Georgia to participate in the Second Annual Georgia Apply to College Week.
The purpose of Georgia Apply to College Week, sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Foundation for Independent Colleges, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, the Technical College System of Georgia, the University System of Georgia and Communities in Schools, is to provide assistance to Georgia’s high school seniors as they navigate the college application process using GAcollege411 (www.GAcollege411.org).
GAcollege411 serves as a valuable resource for application and financial aid information for the public and private colleges in Georgia. In addition, it provides a number of tools that students can utilize to do things such as track their progress through high school, take online test preparation courses, research high-demand careers and develop an online portfolio and resume.
