LaFayette Middle School softball team blanks Dalton for 10th victory

LaFayette Middle School's softball team moved to 10-5 on Thursday with a 14-0 home win over Dalton in a non-league game.

Jade Maggard and Ashton Stalling split the pitching duties. Maggard struck oout two in two hitless innings, while Stalling fanned three in two innings of work.

Maggard also went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base, while Stalling added a single and a run scored.

Shayla Ludy stayed hot at the plate with tw hits, including a triple, She scored twice and drove in a pair of runs, while Sydney Adkins had two singles, an RBI, and a run scored.

McKenzie Hogue had a triple, scored twice, and drove in three runs. Kayleigh Goff singled and scored once, while Katie Cook, Sheyanne Youngblood, and Raleigh Lewis each had a hit and an RBI.

Madison Harris had a single, a walk, scored two runs, and added two RBIs. Shayla Youngblood had one hit, scored twice, and stole one base, while Katie Cain went 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs.

LaFayette has outscored its last three opponents by a combined score of 41-0.

The Lady Ramblers will travel to Westside on Friday for another non-league game.
