LaFayette Middle School softball team pounds Dalton

The LaFayette Middle School softball team turned in their biggest offensive output of the season on Monday with a 15-0 pasting of Dalton in Dalton.

Shayla Ludy had two hits, including an inside-the-park-homer, while scoring three times, driving in four runs, and stealing two bases.

Kayleigh Goff had three hits, an RBI and a stolen base while scoring twice. Raleigh Lewis was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, a walk, three runs scored, and two RBIs. Madison Harris was also 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, a run scored, and 3 RBIs.

Katie Cook and Katie Cain each had one double and an RBI while Caine scored once. McKenzie Hogue, Sydney Adkins, Lindsey Shepherd, Shayla Youngblood, and Jade Maggard each reached on a walk and scored, and Sheyenne Youngblood drew a walk and stole a base in the rout.

Shepherd and Ashton Stallings combined for the one-hit shutout.

LaFayette (8-5) will host Dade County in an NGAC league game Tuesday at 5 p.m.
