A Trion man was killed and three others were sent to the hospital in a two car wreck in Summerville this morning.

According to Joseph Swords with the Georgia State Patrol:

Steve Preston White, 56, of Trion, was driving his red 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee this morning when he struck a curb at the intersection of Highland Avenue and U.S. 27. The SUV flipped onto its side and then struck a 1997 Ford Windstar minivan before landing on its roof.

The driver of the Windstar, Marsha Lin Kessler, 47, of Summerville along with her passengers Angela Ann Summerlin, 20, of Summerville and a 4-year-old boy, were injured in the wreck and transported to Floyd Medical Center.

"Because of some speed issues there, he had a lot of momentum and kept going," Swords said.
