Hilary Martin, a senior majoring in public relations and advertising from Ringgold was named first runner-up in the Miss Reinhardt 2009 Competition on Oct. 2 which was held as part of the Col-lege’s Fall Family Weekend festivities.

For her talent, she signed to “Awaken” by Natalie Grant. At Reinhardt College, Martin is in-volved in Lambda Pi Eta (communications honor society), campus ministry and wind ensemble. She is the senior residence life assistant and a Reinhardt Captain.

Jessica Johnson, a senior biology major from Canton, Ga., planned and coordinated the event. The competition was open to all women who attend Reinhardt full time. The contestants were judged on academic excellence, commitment to community, talent, interview and evening gown categories.
