Columbus Patrick Massengale, 74, Rossville

Columbus Patrick “Pat” Massengale of Rossville died Monday, December 10, 2012. He was 74.

He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and north Georgia areas and was a member of Lighthouse of the Word for more than 41 years. He retired from Aramark Industries in 2003 after more than 34 years of service and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #397 F&AM. He was also a member of the Brainerd Tennis Nuts for more than 35 years and was an avid Tennessee Volunteers Football fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rose Bud Massengale; wife, Dorothy “Dot” Massengale; and brother, Jimmy Lee Massengale.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and (Tammy) Massengale; six grandchildren, Kevin Thomas Mas-sengale, Kyle Patrick-Sean Massengale, Katriscia Massen-gale, Christopher Cagle, Zachary Cagle and Amber Massengale all of Rossville; several great-grandchildren; two nieces, Teresa Menendez and Pam Rediker both of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and one nephew, Eric Thomas of Jackson, Tenn.

Funeral services: Thursday, Dec. 13, at 11:30 a.m. in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Revs. Bobby Prueitt and Michael James Lowery officiating. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 12, after 5 p.m. and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Rosalyn Prichard Espy, 59, Ringgold

Rosalyn Prichard Espy of Ringgold died Monday, December 10, 2012, at her residence. She was 59.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and north Georgia area.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon A. Parks, Sr., and three sisters, Frances Parks, Helen Prichard and Ellen Prichard.

Survivors include her husband, Victor “Chuck” Espy of Ringgold; mother, Evelyn Gladden Weaver of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sons, Roger Dale Hixon and Fred Franklin Hixon II, both of Ringgold; brother, Gordon “Bo” A. Parks, Jr., of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and, several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or service per her request.

Alma Lorraine Wilson Ford, 91, Chattanooga

Alma Lorraine Wilson Ford of Chattanooga died Monday, December 10, 2012. She was 91.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, James Wilson, Odell Wilson, Willard Wilson, Jean Steinberg and William Wilson; and her husband, Arthur Lee Ford.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Mary Alice Brooks of Rossville, and Diane Lee and (John) Presley of Wilson, N.C.; three grandchildren, Angela Vick of Rossville, Jeannie Byrd of Flintstone and Ashley Presley of Wilson, N.C.; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Friday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Neal Powell officiating. Burial: Hooker Cemetery in Wildwood. Visitation:. Wednesday, Dec. 12, after 5 p.m., all day Thursday and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Charles Clyde Edwards, 60, Chickamauga

Charles Clyde Edwards of Chickamauga died Sunday, November 25, 2012. He was 60.

He was born to the late Earl and Juanita Edwards in LaFayette on October 12, 1952. He was of the Baptist faith and a current employee of Crystal Springs in Chickamauga and he loved animals.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue Edwards.

Survivors include his sisters, Betty Lowrance, Linda Adams, Katherine Davis and Edna Graze; brothers, Gerald and Donald Garmany and Melvin Edwards; and, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Maria Lynn Steele, 36, LaFayette

Maria Lynn Steele of LaFayette died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Erlanger Medical Center. She was 36.

She was born July 21, 1976, in Fort Oglethorpe, the daughter of Jerry Garland “Babe” Steele and the late Kathrine Pendergrass Steele.

Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Suzanne Steele.

Survivors include her father, Garland “Babe” Steele; step-sister, Carie Latham; step-brother, Adam Trammell; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Infant Ava June Carlton of LaFayette died Friday, November 30, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wayne Carlton; and uncles, David Dean, and Tony Carlton.

Eva Mae Parrish Williams, 95, Chickamauga

Eva Mae Parrish Williams of Chickamauga died December 10, 2012. She was 95.

She was a lifelong member of Garrett’s Chapel Church where she was the pianist for most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse I. Williams; son, Robert Williams; grandson, Vincent Autry; and, several siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Annie Autry, Edna Autry, Robbie (Johnnie) Talley and Jackie Anderson; son, Larry (Brenda) Williams; sisters, Lolita, Dorothy and Mildred; and four generations of grandchildren.

Barbara Ann Hammond Cotton, 75, Rossville

Barbara Ann Hammond Cotton of Rossville died Sunday, December 9, 2012, in a local hospital. She was 75.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and north Georgia areas. She retired from Chattanooga Freight after 20 plus years of service. She enjoyed reading, traveling, loved her family, and supported her grandchildren in the sports they participated in over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Spears and Margaret Ann Vincent Hammond.

Survivors include her son, Michael G. (Denise Rothwell) Cotton of Newark, Del.; daughters, Lorin C. (Frank) Pendley of Chickamauga, Dawn Malone, and her companion, Ronnie Presnell; brothers, Don (Sandra) Hammond of Ringgold, Fred (Linda) Hammond of Chattanooga, Jim (Liz) Hammond of Clearwater, Fla.; grandchildren, Gabe Pendley, Garrett Pendley, Patrick O’Conner, Jennifer Wells and Wyatt Malone; and one great-grandson, Christian Wells.

Rosetta Ann Conner, 65, Rossville

Rosetta Ann Conner of Rossville died Sunday, December 9, 2012, in a local Hospice Unit. She was 65.

She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she was a lifetime Sunday School Teacher and sang in the choir. She was a great storyteller, a foster parent to numerous children, a former day care owner and a Family Service Administrator for Head Start with Catoosa and Walker Counties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Grover and Vena Campbell; husband, Kenneth Conner; and brother, Grover J. Campbell Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Cheryl) Lee, Brent (Kristy) Lee, Brian (Shea) Lee, all of Cleveland, Tenn., Chris (Angie) Conner, Whitwell, Tenn., and Juan Rodriguez Conner, Rossville; sister, Barbara (Wade) Underwood of Rossville; and a very special friend, Jim Duncan of Rossville; 13 grand-children; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronnie “Jason” Coleman, Jr.,of Menlo died Thursday, December 6, 2012. He was 26.

He was born July 7, 1986, in Chicago, Ill. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed fishing and working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Munn.

Survivors include his wife, Christina Coleman; father and step-mother, Ronnie and Trenda Coleman; three daughters, Jasmine Coleman, Cassidy and Mary Lee Ware; step-children, Audrey Blalock and Jaden Treadaway; seven sisters, Linda Farmer, Eva Miller, Kim Miller, Cassie Miller, Melissa Hudgins, Ashley Sayre and Amanda Stansberry; seven brothers, Michael Sayre, Jerry Munn, Mark Munn, Robert Munn, Brian Munn, Frank Miller and Eric Coleman; and, several nieces and nephews.

John F. Riha, 85, Chickamauga

John F. Riha of Chickamauga died Thursday, December 6, 2012, in a local hospital. He was 85.

He was a native of Manhattan, N.Y., spent many years in California before moving to Chickamauga in 1994. He was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran, and was employed as a stone mason for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and fishing, and was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Stanley and Louise Hemann Riha; daughter, Virginia Rowley; and brother, Albert Stanley Riha, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Minnie Mae Riha; children, Cecil and James Menasco, Shelly Crawford, Sherry Eychaner, Juanita Solomon, and John H. Riha; 17 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver and was of the United Methodist faith.

Bobbie Sue Sanland of Ringgold died Friday, December 7, 2012, at her residence. She was 84.

She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed traveling and being a snowbird in Florida during the winter and returning to Rossville in the summers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Sanland, parents, Herman and Delphia Fischer, grandson, Donald T. Sanland, Jr., and granddaughter, Vickie Vaughn Knight.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy L. (Wayne) Vaughn and Cindy L. (Allen) Stephens; five grandchildren, Jason (Sydney) Stephens, Bradley (Casey) Stephens, Christopher (Nicole) Stephens, Charla (Billy) Bryant and JoAnn Vaughn, and five great-grandchildren.

Joyce Marie Floyd of Ft. Oglethorpe died Friday, December 7, 2012, at her residence. She was 60.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to anyone she met. She was employed in the housekeeping department at Holiday Inn-East Ridge for a number of years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Josephine Frost, three brothers, and one sister.

Mildred Perry, 92, Chattanooga

Mildred Perry of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was 92.

She was born in Sequatchie County, Tenn., to the late Victor and Emma Freeman and was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Dale Perry, and her husband, James Perry.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Waddeck of Orlando, Fla., Patricia Stanec of Levit Town, Pa., Ronald Wilson of Fredrick, Md.; sister, Mabel Simmons of Fort Oglethorpe; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and three nephews.

Sue Hagins Harrington, 83, LaFayette

Sue Hagins Harrington age of LaFayette died Saturday, December 8, 2012, to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 83.

She is now with her beloved husband, Harry Harrington, with whom she was married to for 36 years. She was born in Statesboro on April 23, 1929, to William and Julia DeLoach Hagins. She and her husband, Harry moved to LaFayette in 1964, where they began the LaFayette Recreation Department and served the community for many years. She is most known for teaching swimming lessons for more than 50 years and was respected for her kindness and ability to communicate with children. Her beloved passion for recreation started with the City of Statesboro and the JEA (Jewish Educational Alliance) of Savannah. She was a 1947 graduate of Statesboro High School where she was an All State Basketball Guard, high jumped in track and a cheerleader. She attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. She grew up with five older athletic brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Harrington, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Patti (C. B.) Brown of Knoxville; son, Reid (Tammy) Harrington; grandchildren, Drennan Reid Harrington, Chris Edge, Hub Brown, Hannah Damron; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service: Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. Service conducted by Rev. R. V. Wells. Burial: LaFayette Cemetery. Visitation: Monday, Dec. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Renea Gail Russell, 62, LaFayette

Renea Gail Russell of LaFayette died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at her home. She was 62.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Baker, Jr., and a brother, Terry Lee Baker.

Survivors include her husband, John Russell of LaFayette; daughters, Teena Wesson, Regina Fitzgerald-Ellis, both of LaFayette, Terra Jackson of Chickamauga; mother, Barbara Cordell Baker of Chickamauga; sister, Janet Everett of Canton; brothers, Bobby Baker, Eddie Baker, both of Rock Spring; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Peggy Sue Parrish Millican, 73, Chickamauga

Peggy Sue Parrish Millican of Chickamauga died Sunday, December 9, 2012. She was 73.

She was born July 6, 1939, to the late Henry and Martha Kutz Parrish in High Point. She retired from BI-LO where she worked for 35 years as a bookkeeper and she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Manuel and Kenneth Parrish; sisters, Louise Paris and Jackie Towe.

Survivors include her loving husband, William Talmadge Millican; daughter, Cindy (Milton) King; sons, Tracy Millican and Brian (Christa) Millican, all of Chickamauga; three grandchildren, Joshua and Chrissy Millican and Hannah Kight, and two great-grandchildren, Emery and Grayson Kight.

The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. Monday, and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jennifer Louise Tipton of Ringgold died Tuesday, December 11, 2012. She was 23.

She was a lifelong resident of the Ringgold area.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Becky Guess, and grandfather, Cotton Irwin.

Survivors include her parents, James and Delores Bunch Tipton of Ringgold; two brothers, James E. Tipton, Jr., and Jonathon Tipton, both of Ringgold; grandmother, Jeweldean Irwin of Ringgold; grandfather, Randy Guess of Stephenson, Ala.; great-grandmother, Jewel Privett of Stephenson, Ala.; niece, Chassidty Tipton of Ringgold; nephew, Landon Tipton of Ringgold; and, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Martha Emma Duncan Pendergrass, 70, Chat-tanooga

Martha Emma Duncan Pendergrass of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died Thursday, December 6, 2012. She was 70.

She was born in Huntsville, Ala., to the late David P. and Ruby Wooten Duncan. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Church of God faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Pendergrass, daughter, Sonya Catlett, and son, Joe “Joey” Phillips, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Kendrick of Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren, David Martin, Ashley Sweeney, Donald Joe Kendrick, Robert Dewayne Kendrick, Fred Jefferson Kendrick; nine great-grandchildren, and, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Monday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Wendell Dover officiating. Burial: Chickamauga Cemetery – Chickamauga. Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 9, from 4-9 p.m. and Monday morning until the service.

Sibyl Evelyn Capehart, 90, Rossville

Sibyl Evelyn Capehart of Rossville died Friday, December 7, 2012, in a local nursing home. She was 90.

She was born in Ringgold on August 25, 1922, to the late James Arthur and Ludie Nuckolls Capehart and spent most of her life in the north Georgia area. She was first employed at Loveman’s in Chattanooga and was a hair stylist, later owning her own beauty shop that she operated for many years. She was a faithful member of Lakeview First Baptist Church and a member of the American Business Women of Chattanooga, serving as President of the local chapter in the 1970’s. She was a very kind and loving person who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, J.W. Capehart and Gordon Capehart, and her sister, Gladys Talley.

Survivors include her brother, Harold Capehart of Rock Spring; niece, Ann Fitzgerald and her husband, Jody of Ringgold; nephew, Gene Capehart; great-nephew, Chad Capehart and his wife, Jennifer, and great-great-niece, Emma Capehart, all of Rock Spring.

Funeral services: Monday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Patrick Cooper officiating. Burial: Rock Spring Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 9, from 2-4 p.m. and from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at NHC of Rossville for all their loving care, compassion and support during her residence at the facility as well as Hospice of Chattanooga for their help and support.

Dorris “Dot” Marie Cordell Oxford died Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was 92.

She was born in Hamilton County, Tenn., and had been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and northwest Georgia area. She was employed at Fleetwood Coffee Company for 29 years. She also had worked at Chattanooga Bakery and Kingwood Pharmacy. She had attended Mission Ridge Baptist Church and 26th Street Baptist Church. She was the past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Fort Oglethorpe.

She was preceded in death by her father, Corbet Jessie Cordell; mother, Ida Marie Schaich Cordell Qualls and step-father, T. W. Qualls; husband, Isaac Titus Oxford; sister, Louise Cordell; twin brother, Morris, and brothers, Richard and Fay Cordell; niece, Susie Cordell; and nephews, Larry and Michael Cordell.

Survivors include her sister, Hazel Cordell Brinkley Gordy; nieces, Lisa (James) Brinkley Smith, Cathy (Pat) Brinkley Hammack, Joy (Gale) Cordell Muir, Wendy Campbell Humphreys, Debbie Cordell, Martha (George) Linkous McBee, Mary Alice (Terrell) Linkous Welborn; nephews, Tom Cordell, Jim (April) Cordell, Fay “Junior” Cordell, Jr.; and, several great nieces and great nephews.

Dixie Burke Hughes, Ringgold

Dixie Burke Hughes of Ringgold and the Chattanooga, Tennessee area for many years, died in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.

She was born the daughter of Dorothy Bergen Burke and Lee Burke. She retired from Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation 10 years ago as an administrative assistant and prior to that worked with her husband as an office manager on numerous building projects across the country. She also gave much of her time and service at Christ Chapel in Ringgold.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Hughes, just three months ago.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Hughes and Terry Hines; sons Malcolm (Emily) Boothroyd and Mark Boothroyd; step-children, Greg (Lana) Hughes, Della and Tracy; grand-children, Ryan, Rachel and Ali.

Funeral services: Monday, Dec. 10, at noon at Ringgold First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Bailiff officiating. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ringgold First Baptist Church deacons.

Jimmy Ray Moore of LaFayette died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Hutcheson Medical Center. He was 64.

He was born July 30, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tenn., the son of the late Virgil Ray and Annie Louise Chandler Moore.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Imogene Parker and Zondra Guffey; and brothers, William Paul Chandler, Frankie Lee Moore, and Virgil E. Moore.

Gerald Henry Boss of Trion died Monday, December 3, 2012, at Hutcheson Medical Center. He was 85.

He was born in LaFayette on January 14, 1927. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, was retired from Mount Vernon Mills with 45 years of service, was a member of the Quarter Century Club, and was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by father and mother, Roy Lee and Biddie Lee Lawrence Boss; sister, Frances Anderson; and brothers, LeBron Boss and Clint Clifford Boss.

Haskel Ritchie, 85, Chattanooga

Haskel Ritchie of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died Monday, December 3, 2012, peacefully at home with his family. He was 85.

He had lived in the Chattanooga area for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. He was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army and was a loving and peaceful man who was fully dedicated to his wife and family. His life’s joy was being outside in the dirt planting fruits and vegetables. His past hobbies included fishing and hunting both of which were shared with his wife. To know him was to know a truly great man. Those who loved him will forever miss him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, of 44 years, Iretta Ritchie, and son, Don Hunter.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie Hunter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Olivia Yarbrough, Ronald and Shirley Yarbrough; six granddaughters, Starlena Thomason, Vanessa Epperson, Rhonda Pendry, Kim Rohland, Angela Richardson, Toni Dodson; two grandsons, Bobby Yarbrough, Jr., Gary Yarbrough; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Dana Smith-Goodman of Rossville died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 59.

She was a 1971 graduate of Rossville High School, was the owner of D&S Sales and a member of New Covenant Baptist Church. She was a loving, caring, and giving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed traveling with her family. Dana was a trusted friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Smith, and previous husband, Sonny Smith.

Betty Jane Chambers of Chickamauga died Monday, December 3, 2012. She was 64.

She graduated from LaFayette High School in 1966. She was a member of the LaFayette First Church of God. She retired from Walker County Government after 26 years of service. She also has worked for the past 12 years at the LaFayette Wal-Mart were she was known as B.J. She had a passion for gardening, working puzzles and was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by parents, Buster Hurley, Sr., and Mae Belle Webb; brothers, Buster Hurley Jr., Joe Bob Hurley, Charles Hurley, and David Hurley.

Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Walker, of Chickamauga, and Jessica (Jason) Young, of Rossville; son, Robbie Chambers; ex-husband, Charley R. Chambers; broth-ers, Max Hurley, of Calhoun, and James Hurley of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Justin Young, Ryan Young, Alyssa Young, and Kelsey Walker; and a multitude of nieces and nephews also survive.

Nina Faye Goza Bentley of Chattanooga died Monday, December 3, 2012. She was 81.

She was born in DeKalb County, Ala., and was a 1949 graduate of Sylvania High School. She was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. She was the beloved manager for the past 20 years at Pinewood Village Apartments. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Fort Payne, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Rose Lee Goza, and a brother, Ted Goza.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, A. R. Bentley; children, Ricky (wife, Carol) Bentley and Jan Brotherton; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sis-ter, Barbara (husband, Harold) Stancil; and, two nieces and two nephews.

Johnnie Juanita Oxford of Chattanooga died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at a local hospital. She was 91.

She was a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., having lived most of her life in the East Ridge area. She was a member of Spring Creek Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Most of her life was spent raising her two children and making a home for her husband. She was a very talented and articulate person, never meeting a stranger and loved everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Bessie Wooten; husband of 70 years, Robert “Frank” Oxford; two grandchildren, James and John Oxford, Jr.

Timothy Alan Wilkins of Rossville died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at his residence. He was 52.

He was currently employed at Health Center at Standifer Place in the Housekeeping Department. He had also worked many years in the construction industry. His passions in life were his family, enjoying outdoor activities such as yard work and playing golf. He was also an avid Vols fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sandy Wilkins and Dora Ellen Middlebrooks.

Bertha McClure, 96, Rock Spring

Bertha “ Boots “ McClure of Rock Spring died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at her residence. She was 96.

She was born December 22, 1915, and was the oldest living member of the Peavine Baptist Church for the past 83 years where she taught Sunday School in the Pre-School for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan McClure; parents, Felton and Georgia Williams Cooper; brothers, Eugene, Charlie, Frank, Vance, and Clint Cooper; and sisters, Cora Cooper, Bessie Weaver, and Frances Carlock.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and Ronald Pierce, Danette and Johnny Mullinax, of Rock Spring, and Linda and George Perkins, of Dalton; four grand-children, George E. Perkins, Melanie Penson, Mindy and Jesse Mullinax; four great-grandchildren, Brent, Holly, Trey and Megan; four great-great-grandchildren, Reagan, Ryleigh, Lawsen and Bryn; several nieces and nephews; and, sisters-in-law, JoAnn McClure and Bertha McClure.

Funeral services: Monday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Revs. Denny Patrick, Chris Cooper, and Patrick Cooper officiating. Burial: Peavine Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 2, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ansel Lee Hampton of LaFayette died Friday, November 30, 2012. He was 56.

He retired following 23 years of service at Tuftco Corporation in Chattanooga, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Hampton, and father, Grady Hampton.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Hampton, of LaFayette; sons, Dustin Hampton, of Rossville, and Andy Hampton, of LaFayette; sister, Sharon Butler, of Chickamauga; grand-child, Nikki Hampton; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Tina Marie Douglas, 56, Rossville

Tina Marie Douglas of Rossville died Monday, December 3, 2012. She was 56.

She was a 1974 graduate of Lakeview High School and later worked for Salem Carpets and Shaw Industries for a combined 30-plus years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy E. Douglas; and siblings, Richard Douglas and Debbie Schlote.

Survivors include her mother, Doris Douglas of Rossville; siblings, Gwendolynn (Melvin) Hester of East Ridge, Roy Allan Douglas, Theresa Driver, Michael Schlote, all of Rossville; and, nephews and niece, Joshua (Stephanie) Douglas Hough, Jeremiah Douglas, Nicholas Douglas, Victoria Douglas, and Patrick Schlote.

Funeral service: Friday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial: Calvary Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 6, from 3-9 p.m. and prior to the service Fri-day at the funeral home.
