The Chickamauga Planning Commission meeting Thursday evening, April 19, will discuss the requested zoning change and conditional use permit application by a business owner to open and operate a firing range on N. Hwy. 27.

The public is invited to the hearing to voice their opinions on the matter, which has already gained some recog-nition due to the fact that the designated site for the proposed firing range sits opposite a prominent Chickamauga daycare, The Academy for Little People.

Concerns about stray bullets, firing direction and noise pollution are likely to come up during the meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. at the Chickamauga Civic Center.
