Hutcheson Medical Center announced pulmonologist Tim Ashburn, M.D., FCCP has joined the Hutcheson medical staff and has opened an outpatient pulmonology practice at Hutcheson on the Parkway. The new practice is called Battlefield Lung Specialists and opened Nov. 12.

Battlefield Lung Specialists offers a full range of pulmonology testing, including in-office PFTs, spirometry, diffusion capacity and lung volume measurements. The practice is in the same building as Battlefield Imaging, so patients have convenient access to diagnostic imaging services such as MRI, CT and PET scans.

“The northwest Georgia community should not have to leave this area to receive quality pulmonary care,” stated Roger Forgey, president and CEO of Hutcheson Medical Center. “With the new practice on the Parkway, patients have convenient access to lung care and the diagnostic tools needed to treat lung conditions without leaving the community.”

Dr. Ashburn has ties to the local area, serving as chief resident at UTCOM during his internal medicine residency. Dr. Ashburn graduated from medical school at UT Memphis and is fellowship-trained in pulmonary and critical care medicine. For questions or appointments, please call Battlefield Lung Specialists at 706-419-8086.
