The fourth and final seed for the 2012 North Georgia Athletic Conference football playoffs is...still yet to be determined.

But that will all change this Tuesday as for the first time, a four-team mini-playoff will be held to determine the final playoff team.

Chattanooga Valley, Dade County, Gordon Lee, and LaFayette, who all finished the regular season with 3-4 records, will vie for the playoff on Tuesday at Gordon Lee High School, starting at 4:30 p.m.

Dade County and LaFayette will face off in the first mini game, consisting of two (2) eight-minute quarters. Chattanooga Valley and Gordon Lee will play in the second mini game with the two winners facing off in the third mini game for the last remaining NGAC playoff berth.

Tuesday's survivor will face top-seeded Heritage in one semifinal next Thursday, while Rossville and Trion will square off in the other semifinal.

Heritage, Rossville, and Trion all finished the season 6-1, but Heritage owns the tiebreaker, having handed Rossville and Trion their only losses of the year.

The NGAC also released the seedings for next week's conference volleyball tournament.

Heritage (12-0) is the top seed, followed by Gordon Lee (10-2), Lakeview (8-4), Chattanooga Valley (6-6), LaFayette (4-8), Ringgold (3-9), and Rossville (0-12).

The tournament will start on Monday at Ringgold Middle School with the finals slated for Wednesday.
