University of Georgia head football coach Mark Richt is the featured speaker at this year’s annual Lookout Mountain Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Home Team Banquet on Feb. 28.

Richt is well-known for his leadership as the UGA head coach. This year marks Richt’s 12th season with the University of Georgia. With Richt’s discipline and guidance, the Bulldogs have won two SEC Championships (2002 and 2005) and five SEC Eastern Division titles (2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2011). Along with his team winnings, Richt also received two awards for SEC Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2005.

In addition to his numerous coaching accolades, Richt has also become known for his strong commitment to his faith and family values. On numerous occasions, Richt has attributed his life’s success to Colossians 3:23, “whatever you do, do your work heartily as unto the Lord.”

“We are overwhelmed to have Mark Richt as the speaker for our 2013 event,” said Greg Spradlin, area director for Lookout Mountain FCA. “Richt is an incredible leader with strong character and determination. His testimony is sure to be fascinating for banquet attendees and SEC enthusiasts.”

Proceeds from this annual fundraiser will benefit the FCA ministry of Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade and Walker counties. Funds raised will support, train and equip the FCA huddles, area coaches and teams in the local school systems. Thirty-two local huddle groups are supported by this event. All-American sponsors ($2,000, two tables of eight) and All- Conference sponsors ($1,000, one table of eight) will have the opportunity to meet Mark Richt at a closed reception prior to the meal. Other opportunities to attend are also available. Email lookoutmountainfca@fca.org or phone 706-764-1954 to obtain details and secure your table.
