We’re at a crossroads for our country. Voters have a choice: to vote for President Barack Obama and continue down a road of unbridled spending, increased borrowing and the persistence of a stagnant economy, or vote for Gov. Mitt Romney. Gov. Romney has both the private sector experience as a CEO and the executive experience as the governor of Massachusetts, and I believe that we need a president who understands how government can create an environment that either inhibits business growth or allows business growth to thrive.
We have a conservative ticket. For example, public service commissioner Chuck Eaton has done a great job of representing the interests of consumers in Georgia, including expanding the portfolio of Georgia’s energy production. Locally, commissioner Bebe Heiskell has done a great job of effectively using taxpayer money to provide the greatest amount of services without raising taxes. That’s even during the stagnant economy for the past four years where home values have declined across Georgia.
I encourage voters to vote for our Republican ticket: Mitt Romney for U.S. president, Paul Ryan for U.S. vice president, Bebe Heiskell for Walker County commissioner, Steve Wilson for Walker County sheriff, John Deffenbaugh for state representative, Tom Graves for U.S. congressman, Chuck Eaton for Public Service Commission - District 3 and Stan Wise for Public Service Commission - District 5.
The Walker County Republican Party is the conservative Republican voice for Walker County. Meetings are free and open to the public on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Lee and Gordon Mill in Chickamauga.
