Virginia Yarman celebrates her 85th birthday on Sept. 27. According to her grandchildren, she has made thousands of rice bags over the years, and even though grandma has aches of her own, she cuts, sews, stuffs and gives these soothing comforts to anyone in need. If you know Virginia or anyone in her family, chances are you have a rice bag. Her grandchildren — Michelle, Melissa, Michael, Adam, Yvonne, Jenny, Jessie and Nicole — say she is truly an example of generosity and love.
