Chickamauga’s Kristine Hale, a 17-year-old student at Gordon Lee High School, will compete for the title of Miss Georgia Teen USA 2013 on Nov. 15-17 at the Woodland Performing Arts Theatre in Cartersville, Ga.

She is a member of the Academic Honors Society, the basketball cheerleading squad, drama club, Spanish club, FFA and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Her special training includes ballroom, ballet, modern and folkloric dance, and she is a 2010 graduate of the Barbizon USA-Modeling & Acting School.

Her activities and hobbies include sports, fashion, reading, organizing and planning, dancing, art and volunteering.

She volunteers for causes that fight domestic violence, abuse and hunger. She also performs cultural folk dance at various locations. She has also participated in Gordon Lee High School Spanish Club 2011 and Gordon Lee Drama Club 2010-11 performances.

Her sponsors for the pageant are Billy Neil Ellis, Walker commissioner Bebe Heiskell, David Wilson of Wilson Funeral Homes, Pat Hamilton, Roy Parrish, Choo Choo BBQ and Grill and Los Potros #2 Restaurant in Chickamauga, Hernan Delgado of Kennesaw, La Dean Shop in Rossville, Fort Lake Tanning and Hong Kong Nails in Fort Oglethorpe.

The Miss Georgia Teen USA and Miss Georgia USA pageants are the Official preliminaries to the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants and are a Donald J. Trump and NBC Universal joint venture. The young woman chosen as Miss Georgia Teen USA 2013 will go on to represent the state of Georgia in the 2013 Miss Teen USA pageant as seen live on NBC television.
