· Between 8 p.m. on Feb. 3 and 10:28 a.m. on Feb. 4, a forced entry residential burglary occurred on Meadowlark Drive in Ringgold resulting in the theft of more than $730 worth of merchandise from the home.

The victim told police she left her residence fully secured prior to going and staying at a relative’s house, and returned home the next morning to find the house broken into and ransacked.

She stated that furniture had been moved, couch cushions thrown around, and numerous drawers and closets gone through.

MP3 players, various soaps, lotions, and body sprays, three pairs of shoes, and multiple articles of Victoria’s Secret brand undergarments were among the items stolen.

The total estimated value of the stolen property is $730.

The case was turned over to detective Michael Tinker.

· Between 9:30 a.m. and 9:52 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on Park Street in Rossville resulting in the theft of a $200 Echo leaf blower from the home.

A witness told police he left his home and went to a nearby convenience store on foot only to return approximately 20 minutes later to a burglary in progress.

He stated he was walking back to his apartment, which adjoins to a garage and secondary apartment, when he observed a navy blue two-door car parked in the driveway.

He then said he saw a white male put something in the car and drive away towards Lakeview Drive toward U.S. 27.

Efforts to get the vehicle’s tag number were unsuccessful as the victim stated he was unable to catch up to the vehicle quick enough.

The property owner was notified, and it was the discovered that the garage door had been kicked open, and that an Echo backpack leaf blower was missing.

The case was turned over to detective Michael Tinker.
