Fort Oglethorpe police investigating church burglary

Fort Oglethorpe police detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred between Dec. 16 and Dec. 17, in which someone broke into a building and stole items from a church bus.

The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, and 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at the First United Pentecostal Church at 1556 Cloud Springs Road.

The pastor of the church told police someone entered both church buses and made off with a Peavey stage speaker in addition to stealing a weed trimmer from a storage building after breaking off the lock.

The stolen property was entered in the National and Georgia Crime Information Databases.
