Schools in Walker, Catoosa and Chickamauga closed Monday; other area closings and delays

Public schools in the Walker County, Catoosa County and Chickamauga city school systems are closed today due to inclement weather. According to the National Weather Service, there is a 30 percent chance of snow showers before 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 26. North wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 15. North wind between 5 and 10 mph. Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 26. North wind around 5 mph.
