Between Monday, April 11, and Wednesday, April 20, the Northwest Georgia Crimes Against Children Task Force made three arrests involving men in their 40s traveling to have sexual encounters with what they thought were mi-nor children.

According to special agent in charge Brian D. Lamkin with the FBI office in Atlanta:

Kenneth John Aceball, 46, of 1070 Arborhill Lane in Alpharetta, was arrested on April 11 in Ringgold on three counts of criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation, criminal attempt to commit child molestation, and three counts of child computer pornography.

Aceball was arrested after attempting to meet and have sex with what he thought was a minor child he had been corresponding with over the internet.

Aceball had been engaging in “chats” with undercover agents and officers expressing his desire to have sex with a minor.

Aceball was released from Catoosa County jail on a $30,000 bond.

Two similar arrests involving — Kevin Heumaneous, 44, of Lawrenceville and Michael Mays, 47, of Dalton — took place on April 19 and April 20, respectively.

Heumaneous traveled to Ringgold from Lawrenceville, where he was arrested and taken to Catoosa County jail. Mays was arrested in Dalton and taken to the Whitfield County jail.

Both men face charges of attempt to commit child molestation, with Heumaneous also facing a charge of child computer pornography.
