The Rossville Middle School varsity cheerleading squad attended summer camp at Chattanooga Christian School in June where they earned several superior ribbons for their performances in cheer and dance.

They also received the Most Improved Squad award and the Superior Squad Award, earning them an invitation to perform at the 2012 Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

The teams has been working all summer to raise money for the trip. During their trip, the team will rehearse daily with other teams and visit Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Epcot.

"We see the talent of our squad everyday,” said RMS cheer coaches Melinda Newby and Laura Belue. “We are so proud that our girls are being recognized and given this opportunity."

The cheerleaders will perform with other selected squads in a pre-game performance on Monday, January 2, 2012.
