The real estate sale statistics in the information box are for January through Dec. 30, 2011. Any sales after 11 a.m. on Dec. 30 are not counted. These stats are based off of the properties that are being marketed for sale in the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service only. These stats do not include all real estate sales for the month.

There were 1,299 total sales for 2011 compared to 2010 total sales of 1,247. The total median sales for all counties decreased from $105,000.00 in 2010 to $90,000.00 in 2011.
