The Gwinnett Daily Post reports the gunfire happened around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Pucketts Drive. Police say officers responding to reports of shots fired found a male and a female with gunshot wounds.
Police say both people were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in critical condition.
They said the male later died as a result of the shooting, and the female remained in critical condition later Tuesday morning.
Homicide investigators were collecting evidence at the scene. Names of the people who were shot were not immediately released.
Lilburn is about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta.
