Performers include the Jeff Hullender Family, Junior and Thelma Hullender, Terry Moore, and Gene Lowrey and Pipeline. There is also a fund for Holly Stockburger set up at Gateway Bank and Trust.

COMMUNITY · Origin Church and partners are excited to announce our Valentine’s Big Give tornado relief event on Saturday, Feb. 18th at 1 p.m. at Ringgold High School. In October, $110,000 in free supplies were given away to Ringgold tornado victims and we’re excited to have another truckload of supplies. While supplies last, free tornado relief supplies will be available to all local Ringgold, Cleveland, Trenton and metro Chattanooga area residents with written proof of tornado damage.

COMMUNITY · The Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center will hold a program entitled “S-S-Snakes Alive!” Saturday, Feb. 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Join CA&NC naturalist Kyle Waggener for an introduction to our resident snakes. How can a snake climb a tree? What do snakes eat? Find out the answers to these and other slithery ques-tions. The stars of this program include the corn snake, king snake, garter snake, and the pine snake. Snake skins, reptile eggs, and other artifacts will be available for viewing. Guests are welcome to spend the rest of the day ex-ploring the CA&NC property. The program is free for CA&NC members and free with paid admission for non-members. COMMUNITY · Are you ready for the next disaster or emergency? Amateur radio gets through when all else fails, even cell phones. Sign up for the next amateur radio class, sponsored by the Collegedale Amateur Radio Club, and taught by Dean Saunders, AA4XL. The class will meet for six Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at the McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5440 McDonald Road, McDonald, Tenn., beginning Feb. 21. EDUCATION · The regular monthly meetings of the Walker County Board of Education will be held on the third Monday of each month, with the exception of the January, February, November and December meetings in 2012. Meetings will be held at 6 p.m. at the Walker County Department of Education Building, 201 South Duke Street, LaFayette. 2012 meetings are Feb. 21, March 19, April 16, May 14, June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10.
