COMMUNITY · Dr. Irene Pepperberg, an internationally known animal behaviorist who holds faculty positions at Harvard University and Brandeis University, is coming to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to present “Alex and Me: Can African Grey Parrots Understand What They Say?” Thursday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rac-coon Mountain Room, UTC University Center. This event is free and open to the public.

COMMUNITY · The mayor and council of the city of Fort Oglethorpe will hold a joint work session with the Ca-toosa County commissioners and county manager on Friday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at City Hall, 500 City Hall Drive in Fort Oglethorpe. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the “Old Gym” on U.S. 27 and any other issues that might arise.
