COMMUNITY · On May 15 Walker County residents are invited to the Chickamauga Public Library at either 10 a.m. or 4 p.m., or the LaFayette-Walker County Public Library at 6 p.m. to learn how to access free subscriptions to GED, ACT and SAT preparation materials, personalized resume building software, practice AP exams, subject tuto-rials for elementary, middle and high school and much more.

COMMUNITY · Homeschooled children are invited to come to the LaFayette-Walker County Public Library Wednesday, May 16, at 1 p.m. to read books, learn and converse with other students their age.

COMMUNITY · The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host the 20th Annual Don Stultz Walker County Senior Citizen’s Day Wednesday, May 16 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center. This year’s cele-bration will include a ‘Hee-Haw’ theme as well as lunch, music and bingo with door prizes. The “Most Senior Citi-zen” will also be honored. The event is free and all Walker County seniors are invited to attend. Lunch and bingo prizes for the event are made possible by donations from local businesses and individuals.
