The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) recently announced its endorsement of Alan Painter, a Republican from Chattanooga Valley who is running for the Georgia House of Representatives-District 1 seat in the July 31 primary election.

Due to Painter’s commitment on the issues important to gun owners and the Second Amendment, the NRA-PVF strongly supports his candidacy in the upcoming election, a media release states.

“Our constitutional liberties are under attack and I will stand strong against the anti-gun agenda,” Painter said. “To be endorsed in an open-seat election for retiring Rep. Martin Scott is a rare honor.”

I like guns, learned to shoot with m14's and various rifles, but don't see the logic in allowing for assault weapons and large capacity cartridges to be sold for individuals. These are hunting guns, only if you're planning a massacre.
