The award is presented to a citizen of Walker County who has performed meritorious service above and beyond what would be expected of a citizen throughout the past five years. All nominees must live in Walker County, and only extraordinary service to the community within the past five years will be considered.
The Citizen of the Year award will be presented at the 2012 Walker County Gala on Oct. 13 at the Chattanooga Marriott.
