The LaFayette Middle School softball team collected nine hits on Thursday, four going for extra bases, but it wasn't enough to get past Calhoun, who claimed a 7-4 win in the non-NGAC game.

Sydney Adkins went 3-for-3 for the Lady Ramblers with a pair of doubles, two runs scored, and an RBI. Shayla Ludy was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Raleigh Lewis, Hayleigh Goff, McKenzie Hogue, Kiki Evans, and Madison Harris added one hit each.

Allison Wallin struck out two Calhoun hitters in a complete-game performance.

LaFayette will return to action at the Jack Mattox tournament this weekend. Their first game will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday against Chattanooga Valley.
