LaFayette Middle softball team shuts out Rossville to go 2-0 in NGAC

The LaFayette Lady Ramblers moved to 2-0 in NGAC play with a 15-0 win over Rossville on Thursday.

Katie Cain went 3-for-3 with a single, two doubles, a run scored, three RBIs, and a stolen base, while also fanning four batters in two innings in the circle.

Kayleigh Goff was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBIs, three runs scored, and one stolen base. Shayla Ludy also had two hits while scoring two runs, stealing a base, and driving in a run, and Madison Harris collected a single and a double while scoring twice and knocking in two runs.

Jade Maggard had a triple, drove in two runs, and scored once, while striking out two batters in one inning of work. McKenzie Hogue added a double, three RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base, while Shayla Youngblood had a double and a stolen base.

Katie Cook singled, scored a run and drove in a run, Raleigh Lewis also singled and scored, while Lindsey Shepherd and Kiki Evans each scored once.

LaFayette will play their next league game at Trion on Sept. 4 at 5:30.
