8-under Trojans go 1-1 in youth football jamboree

The 8-under Chickamauga Trojans went 1-1 during play in the North Georgia Youth Football League Jamboree on Saturday.

In their first scrimmage, the Trojans got past the Chattanooga Valley Eagles, 7-0.

Jacob Neal scored on a 73-yard touchdown run while Curtis Wells ran in for the extra point. Neal also led the defense with six tackles, while Dominic Martin had five. Dakota Catlett and Zane Blaylock had three tackles each, and Cooper Campbell was credited with two stops.

Chickamauga Trojans lost in their second scrimmage of the day, falling 7-0 to the Summerville Indians.

Neal paced the Chickamauga offense with 47 yards on just three carries, while Martin led the defensive effort with three tackles.
