According to the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department:
Casey Michelle Crane, 29, of Griffin Street in Ooltewah was arrested on Friday, Aug. 24, on charges of possession of marijuana (less than an ounce), speeding and driving without a valid license. He has been released from jail on bond.
Crane was pulled over just after 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 after police observed her speeding down Cloud Springs Road at 56 mph in a 40-mph zone, reports show.
“When I asked Ms. Crane for her driver’s license, she presented me with a Tennessee state identification card,” officer Michael Cannon said. “I was then advised by Catoosa County 911 that she didn’t not have a valid license.”
Cannon discovered the marijuana while searching Crane and the vehicle, reports show.
“During inventory of the vehicle, I located a wad of green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana, in the driver’s seat where her right leg was before exiting the vehicle,” Cannon said. “I then located a plastic, purple in color, Phillies cigarillo holder containing more marijuana.”
