The annual LaFayette Fly-In will take to the skies over Barwick-LaFayette Airport on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The event will begin with a breakfast honoring veterans at 8 a.m.

A skydiver will drop in during the opening ceremonies, which are being conducted by the LaFayette High School JROTC.

Admission to the family-friendly event (at 141 Gasque Drive) is free and will feature classic planes, flights, airplane rides, car show and refreshments.

Classic cars will join the planes during the show, competing for the judge’s attention and seeking several awards to be presented.

Plane rides will begin at 10 a.m.

Lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m. and will benefit the Al Millard Stocking Full of Love.

A simulated bomb drop is planned, along with spot field and takeoff competitions.

The event will conclude with the awards presentation at 4 p.m.
