The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host a political candidates forum on Oct. 9 at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the event begins at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Three local elections with opposition are on the ballot for the November election. Candidates from the following races are invited to attend: Walker County sheriff, Georgia House of Representatives-District 1, and Walker County commissioner.

Participating candidates will present their responses to questions that have been prepared by the Chamber’s governmental affairs committee. Once the questions have been answered by each opponent, the candidates will have a rebuttal opportunity.
