• Between 6 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 12, a forced-entry burglary occurred in the 5000 block on Ga. 2 (Battlefield Parkway) in Ringgold, resulting in the theft of approximately $600 worth of equipment from the building.

The victim told police that between the listed time period, unknown offender(s) kicked in the locked right side door of the building.

He stated that the building was equipped with a video camera to monitor the area, but that the camera was taken from the wall it was mounted on during the incident.

A glass window was broken during the incident as a way to gain access to the other side of the building where a recording system was stolen from an office.

Extra patrol was placed at the location following the incident, and the case was turned over to detective Ed Vickery.

• Between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15, a theft by taking occurred at Lakewood Memory Gardens at 325 Greens Lake Road in Rossville.

A Rossville woman told police that someone had stolen a bronze vase from her mother's headstone between her visits to the grave site.

The was no possible lead or suspect information available at the time of the report.

The case was turned over to detective Timothy Busby.
