COMMUNITY · Chattanooga Zoo will hold a Snow Leopard Appreciation Day on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. On this day, six-week old boy and girl cubs, recently named Everest and Maliha respectively by Zoo supporters, will be making their public debut. Snow Leopards are considered a highly endangered species with only 4,000-6,000 remaining in the wild. The Chattanooga Zoo hopes to use this occasion to bring awareness and education to snow leopard conservation efforts both locally and abroad. During Snow Leopard Appreciation Day, visitors will be encouraged to participate in interactive education stations highlighting conservation efforts while watching the cubs frolic in actual snow generously donated by the Tennessee Valley Ice Company. Snow Leopard Day activities are free with Zoo admission.

CHURCH · The Bryan College Chamber Singers will present a concert of sacred choral music Sunday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. at LaFayette Presbyterian Church, 107 N. Main Street, in La Fayette. Also needed are volunteers who have management experience.
