The council will decide Sharrock's fate as a member of that body as they conduct a hearing related to recent charges of sexual harassment. The harassment allegedly occurred on Oct. 9.
The hearing will take place in the council chambers and is the result of a complaint made by a Fort Oglethorpe female police detective against the council member.
According to the city charter, if Sharrock is dismissed from the council he can appeal that decision in Catoosa County Superior Court.
Per the city charter, the vote to dismiss must be unanimous with the remaining council members.
This incident marks the third time Sharrock has been accused of sexually harassing female city employees. The other occasions were in 2008 and 2009 when he was cited for hugging and kissing two different women.
