The annual Christmas parade in Fort Oglethorpe is set for Saturday evening, Dec. 1.

The parade, which starts at 6 p.m., will gather in the Office Depot parking lot on Battlefield Parkway (Ga. 2), travel west along the highway, then turn south onto U.S. 27 and travel to the Barnhart Circle area.

According to city council member Louis Hamm, the makeup of the parade will be comparable to last year's event with many floats. Mayor Lynn Long invites everyone to come out and enjoy this holiday event.
