According to LaFayette Police Department:
At 7:46 a.m. Wednesday, a Nissan Altima traveling south on Probasco Street crested a hill and slid off the road upon approaching the intersection at Bradley Avenue.
A 30-year-old driver and 33-year-old passenger were not injured and were able to climb out of the overturned vehicle, despite landing in a deep ditch.
A vehicle was stopped ahead of their vehicle. The Altima began sliding as the brakes were applied and veered off of the road instead of hitting the vehicle in front of them, which were friends and co-workers at the nearby Roper plant, according to officer Robbie Tate.
Officials caution motorists to slow down and drive appropriately for roadway conditions.
