• Between 8 a.m. and 9:01 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, a forced entry burglary occurred on Cornerstone Drive in Ringgold, resulting in the theft of approximately $450 worth of tools.

The victim told police that she left her residence after receiving a delivery, and then returned home later that day to find that someone had broken into the shed on the side of the residence.

She said that when she arrived home, her shed door was standing open and that someone had pried the door lock away from the wood.

A Champion portable generator, a cordless drill, and a flash light were among the items reported missing during the incident.

The case was turned over to detective Ed Vickrey.

• Between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, a burglary occurred from a business on Mack Smith Road in Rossville, resulting in the theft of nearly $2,000 worth of goods.

The victim told police that during the listed hours, someone took a freezer full of meat from the sidewalk at the side door of his closed business.

He also stated that a door to a metal building near the residence had also been entered with items missing.

In addition to the freezer full of meat, a Craftsman toolbox with numerous tools was taken, as well as a plastic boat containing various fishing rods and reels.

Officers could not find evidence of forced entry into the building, and the victim could not provide any possible suspect information.

The victim did admit that the door may have been unlocked, but he couldn't be certain.

The case was turned over to detective Ed Vickery.
