Two Catoosa County roads are closed, as of this morning, due to high water and flooding.

Mack Smith Road (at Steele Road) and Wooten Road near Graysville were closed as of 8 a.m. today, according to the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office.

Mack Smith Road runs from Cloud Springs Road in Fort Oglethorpe into East Ridge, Tenn.

Wooten Road connects U.S. 41 to Graysville Road, also in Ringgold.

In addition to the closures, the sheriff's office has advised that the road department has also placed high-water signs on other roads throughout the county to discourage drivers from attempting to drive over the high-standing water.

Catoosa County schools are opening two hours later today due to the concern over flooded roads.

The rain is expected to continue today.
