Three Walker County men were arrested for possession of marijuana following a routine traffic stop in Fort Oglethorpe over a faulty tag light.

According to the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department:

Caleb Lamar Marsh, 21, Darius Maguel Walton, 22, both of Rossville, and Samuel LeBron McDaniel, 22, of Chickamauga were arrested on Sunday, Jan. 20, on charges of possession of marijuana less than one-ounce.

Walton, who was driving the vehicle the trio was traveling in, garnered an additional charge of a broken tag light.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Ga. 2 (Battlefield Parkway) and Johnson Drive when the Walton’s red 2001 Pontiac Grand Am was observed leaving Riddle Street with no visibly working tag light, reports show.

“I performed the traffic stop on Battlefield Parkway east of Johnson Road, which resulted in all three suspects being arrested for having a large amount of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana in the car,” officer Greg Gross said.
