A former Fort Oglethorpe resident who made headlines in September for trying to sell a stolen motor scooter through a Craigslist ad is now wanted by the Chattanooga Police Department on multiple charges.

According to the Chattanooga Police Department, 19-year-old Darien Blake Clay, whose last known address is 6230 Hansley Drive in Chattanooga, is wanted on charges of robbery, theft, and failure to appear.

On Sept. 18, 2012, Clay was arrested by the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department on a theft charge (receiving stolen property) after detectives received a call that he was attempting to sell the stolen scooter on Craigslist.

Detectives called the ad, set up a meeting with Clay, and found out that he was indeed trying to sell the stolen vehicle from the Oglethorpe Ridge Apartments where he lived.

Clay is listed at 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weights about 170 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding Clay’s whereabouts or his possible arrest could be eligible for a confidential cash reward by contacting the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-3333.
